My son was one of the first students at Raleigh Moravian Preschool when it first opened and now both of my children attend. I have watched RMP blossom into a premier preschool. In my son’s four year old class, his teacher uses a playful and fun environment to teach the alphabet, numbers, and even science lessons! In my daughter’s two year old class, she is learning her colors, shapes as well as valuable social skills like following directions, sharing and team work. The curriculum also includes special lessons each week for the children in Spanish, science and music. I can’t say enough wonderful things about the Raleigh Moravian Preschool teachers … they are highly educated, energetic, and compassionate. Sending my children to Raleigh Moravian Preschool has given them an excellent head start in life!

We are loving our second year at Raleigh Moravian Preschool. After visiting a couple of other preschools in the area, we chose RMP for its smaller size and more “personal” feel. And we haven’t been disappointed. It has become like a second family for our daughter, who misses seeing her friends and teachers on non-school days! It’s so nice to be in a place where “everybody knows your name,” even the teachers and children in the other classes.
The teachers are dedicated, enthusiastic, and loving. I knew that we had made the right decision when, during our very first week of school last year, our then 20 month-old Sofie clapped her hands and smiled big as we pulled up in the parking lot. It’s a happy place to be!
The weekly “specials” have been great this year—science, music, Spanish. Sofie also loves the weekly chapel time, learning new songs and visiting the sanctuary. The Christmas “Performance” by the children was really wonderful. Visits from the fire truck and dentist, plenty of outside playground time and fun art projects, books and shapes and letters and manners … RMP nourishes and enriches the whole child, in a warm and fun environment. Who could ask for more?!

Enrolling our young son at Raleigh Moravian Preschool was one of the better decisions our family made after moving to Raleigh from Europe. English was not our three-year-old’s first language and he continues to have severe nut allergies, so it was critical that he attend a professional, attentive preschool. Due in great part to Stephanie Williard’s program and staff, our son has flourished this past year. He, thanks to the RMP teachers, is an outstanding example of the positive impact good instruction can have on the development of a young child. The staff teach and lead with a balance of fun and learning, while instilling to the youngsters good manners and respectfulness. Our son is greeted by an enthusiastic, extremely competent and creative group of professionals five mornings a week, and enjoys a wide variety of activities and programs. We know he is safe and cared for; he goes to school happy and comes home happy.

Our daughter attends RMP and has learned so much in her first six months there. She loves going to school and looks forward to show-and-tell, music, chapel time, and all of the monthly theme activities. The teachers are enthusiastic and organized, and the hands-on learning emphasis works really well for her. RMP is a nurturing place where she can explore her increasing independence, while receiving the pre-K structure and socialization she needs.
